Ethnic Diversity
Nigeria has more than 250 ethnic groups, with varying languages and customs, creating a country of rich ethnic diversity. The three largest ethnic groups are Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba.

Colourful Clothing
Nigeria’s ethnic diversity is reflected well in our vibrant and colourful clothing. We take great pride in wearing our traditional attire at every opportunity.

Pop Culture
Football is Nigeria’s national sport. Nigerians have authored many influential works of post-colonial literature. Nollywood is now the second-largest producer of movies in the world. Nigeria was home to MTV’s first African music awards show in Abuja in 2008.

Succulent Cuisine
Nigerian cuisine is known for its richness and variety. Many different spices, herbs and flavourings are used in conjunction with palm oil or groundnut oil to create deeply flavoured sauces and soups often made very hot with chili peppers.
